ALL TUMBLR FOLLOWERS, PLEASE READ THIS:

(First off, yes, I did just pay $5 so that this is at the top of your tumblr. This means a lot to me, so PLEASE read this.)

As you can tell, I haven’t been very active on this blog. I’m going to be “retiring” the music machinery blog because I’ve been focusing my time on a new project. This is Project Three Six Five (threesixfive.ca). Each day for the next 365 days, I’m going to be doing (at least) one act of kindness, taking a photo, and posting it on the blog.

Why? Well, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately on what I want to do with my life. Truth is, I don’t know. I know that I want a job that is a new challenge everyday and does more than ‘make money’ (but this is extremely broad). This is how Project Three Six Five started. It’s like this: I can either go about living how I usually do or I can actively try to have a positive impact on others. Although I may not know what I’m doing with my life, I can use my time now to do something more.

I want to create a larger community out of this project. I know there are a lot of ‘random acts of kindness’ out there, and that’s great. I guess I’m just trying to build off of that. To make this happen I need to build hype for this project and I NEED YOUR HELP.

Here are ways you can contribute to Project Three Six Five:

2) Give me some feedback on this project.

3) SUBMIT a photo of something kind you have done (so I can post in on the site).

4) Share the page, reblog this post, do whatever you need to do to raise awareness. SHARE SHARE SHARE.

5) Join in on the action. We will be gathering groups of people to work together to do something good in the community on certain days. Send me a message if you want to be informed of when these group gatherings are happening.

+: I’m really bad at saying what’s good about albums. I like the piano ballads and how it’s a more tuned-down album.

-: I decided to give this album a listen because there was an article in the metro (a newspaper), that said good things about it. I went in expecting another “Somewhere Only We Know”, but it just wasn’t there. Also, all the songs sound very close to each other.

+: The songs are catchy, and the lead has a good voice BUT…

-: The use of autotune in all the vocal ‘solos’ annoys me. I know the lead has a good voice, because of his past un-autotuned work when he was in The Format. And of course, the radio overplays the shit out of their songs.

This album deserves a small honourable mention, but didn’t quite make it to the big leads for me.

Highlights: Some Nights, Carry On
